School Uniform
DOWN HIGH SCHOOL
UNIFORM REGULATIONS 2017-2018
The following regulations regarding school uniform must be strictly adhered to. Uniform must conform with that stocked by the authorised suppliers.
BOYS’ UNIFORM
- School tie with ‘House’ stripe. Pupils will be informed of their House with its distinctive tie when they are enrolled in the school.
- The Sixth Form have a distinctive tie which is available only from the school.
- Regulation school blazer.
- Black socks.
- Black regulation school trousers – ‘skinny’ leg trousers are not permitted.
- Pullover (optional) - light grey with V neck.
- Plain white shirt
- Plain white T shirt if worn.
- Plain black belt
- Plain black leather/leather effect footwear (Training shoes are not permitted).
- Down High fleece jacket (pupils may wear their navy Kukri hooded sweatshirt under their blazer as an alternative)
- A regulation school scarf may be worn (no other type is permitted).
Junior PE (Years 8-11)
- White polo shirt with school crest
- Navy blue Kukri shorts
- Navy blue Kukri hooded sweatshirt
- Navy blue/green Kukri tracksuit bottoms
- White socks
- Indoor trainers (non-marking soles)
- Rugby jersey ( green with gold collar)
- Rugby/soccer boots
- Plain dark swimming shorts
Senior PE (Years 12-14)
- Navy blue Kukri shorts
- Navy Kukri hooded sweatshirt
- Navy/green Kukri tracksuit bottoms
- Rugby socks
- White socks
- Navy blue/green Kukri Polo shirt

GIRLS' UNIFORM
- Skirt of regulation style and colour, with two inverted pleats front and back. Must be worn on or just below the knee.
- White shirt.
- Regulation green V-necked pullover/cardigan
- School tie with ‘House’ stripe. Pupils will be informed of their House with its distinctive tie when they are enrolled in the school.
- The Sixth Form have a distinctive tie which can be purchased only from the school.
- Regulation school blazer.
- Knee-length dark green socks Years 8-9
- Dark green opaque tights. Years 10-14 (Years 8 & 9 may wear tights if they prefer)
- Plain black FLAT shoes. No suede or canvas permitted.
- A regulation school scarf may be worn (no other type is permitted).
- Down High fleece jacket (pupils may wear their navy Kukri hooded sweatshirt under their blazer as an alternative)
Junior PE (Years 8-10)
- Green Kukri sports top
- Navy blue/green Kukri tracksuit bottoms
- Navy blue Kukri hooded sweatshirt
- Green Kukri skort
- Hockey socks (bottle green with gold stripe)
- Short white socks
- Plain dark swimsuit
- Indoor / outdoor trainers. Must be lace-up – no fashion plimsoles or Velcro-tab shoes permitted.
Senior PE (Years 11-14)
- Navy blue/green Kukri tracksuit bottoms
- Kukri navy blue hooded sweatshirt
- Navy blue/green Kukri skort
- Kukri hockey socks – FOR TEAMS ONLY
- Navy blue/green Kukri shirt
- Indoor / outdoor trainers. Must be lace-up – no fashion plimsoles or Velcro-tab shoes permitted
- White socks
