Zara Adams Wins Printing Competition

In March 2019 student Zara Adams took part in a DeviantArt “Devious Dreams Competition”, in which her block printing project - cleverly titled “Think Outside the Blocks” - won.

DeviantArt is an online community, where young artists can share, discuss, and sell original artwork. With 26 million registered users, its huge social network reaches artists across 190 countries. The Devious Dreams campaign launched in March 2019, as a chance for DeviantArt to grant artists the tools they need to make their creative evolution a reality. With over $20,000 in prizes available to make dreams come true, thousands of people shared a wide range of creative and heartfelt dreams for their artistic future.

The theme of Zara's piece was based on the landscape and wildlife in her local area - particularly Castle Ward. She is incredibly passionate about Art and in particular Block Printing and hopes to continue creating pieces that she can sell online. Zara received a selection of printing materials as a prize, which will undoubtedly be put to good use in her creative hands!
