Year 9 Fieldtrip to the River Shimna
19th Oct 2018
Year 9 Geography pupils travelled to the Mournes and Tipperary Wood to study the River Shimna. Aspects of the upper and lower course of the river were compared as various methods were used to collect data. Coastal defences at the promenade in Newcastle were also studied. We managed to avoid Storm Callum...just... Plenty of sunshine for one of the days though!
