Writer Brian Gallagher Visits Down High

Well-known author Brian Gallagher visited Down High School on Monday 20 April to talk to Year 10 pupils about his craft. Brian's novels, which are aimed at young people, place characters in dramatic events in Irish history. His latest novel, Friend or Foe: whose side are you on?, is set against the backdrop of the Easter Rising of 1916 and is published by O'Brien Press.

The visit was facilitated by Mrs Drury and Eason Ltd and the Belfast store manager, Alison Allen, is pictured alongside Mrs Thorpe, Mr Acheson and Year 10 pupils Lucy Cullen, Niall Patterson, James Finlay and Rachel Gavaghan.
