Winner of the London Wheelchair and Mini Marathon
Andrew Greer, year 9, successfully claimed first place in the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Wheelchair Marathon. The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon is the official British Athletics three-mile road championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17. Following a course which stretches from London's Old Billingsgate to The Mall.
Andrew was awarded this notable accolade on Sunday 23rd April. He follows in the footsteps of other iconic winners including Mo Farah and Paralympians Shelly Woods and David Weir. Andrew took this challenge on with great gusto and his success was a result of a tough training regime. Cheered on by his family, Andrew ‘made sure he left nothing in the tank’ and crossed the finish line with a personal best time of 15.39. An excellent achievement and a fantastic event to be involved in.
