Virtual Carol Service: Goes Live Monday 14 December at 7pm
We are finalising arrangements to "premiere" our virtual Carol Service on-line. The service was recorded in Down Cathedral on 26 November in full accordance with social distancing guidelines. Keep an eye on this website and our social media feeds for updates. We hope that the school community can take the time to watch and listen together as our readers and wonderful musicians bring us beautiful Christmas carols at this challenging time. Thank you to the Very Reverend Dean Henry Hull for officiating and allowing us to use the magnificent Cathedral as our venue once again. Our Musical Director Miss Clarke and Miss McKeown have prepared lovely seasonal music and we hope you enjoy the product of their hard work and that of the smaller than usual number of students (due to Covid restrictions).
In the absence of the charity Offering at our normal Carol Services, we want to raise money for Air Ambulance NI in memory of our much-loved pupil Ellie McDonnell, who tragically passed away in September. Our Just Giving page in Ellie's memory is now open and we would be most grateful if you would be able to donate to this most worthy cause, for which Ellie raised thousands of pounds. Please watch and listen to our service when it goes live at 7.00pm on Monday 14 December and we thank you in advance for any donation you choose to make.
