Outstanding Success at Hollywood Music Festival

Year 14 pupil Catherine McStay demonstrated her musical aptitude at the recent Holywood Music Festival. Catherine excelled in the U18s Song from a Musical Show category achieving first place and being awarded the Clarke Cup and a £50 prize. Her performance of ‘Alto’s Lament by Zina Goldrich and ‘Don’t Forget Me’ from Bombshell was declared to be ‘outstanding’ by the adjudicator, David Beer. However, her achievements did not stop there as she went on the win the Foster Shield which is awarded to the singer that obtained the highest marks in Musical Theatre. Once again Catherine’s rendition of ‘She used to be Mine’ and ‘The Wizard and I’ were met with high praise. A brilliant achievement against tough competition.
