Local author visits Down High
21st Mar 2018
Down High welcomed local author Pauline Burgess to speak to the Year 8 pupils about her life as an author and the creative writing process on Friday 9th March. She is a writer, teacher, parent and literary enthusiast and her latest book, Knock Back, is set on the shores of Strangford Lough. It is the first of three books of contemporary teen novels.
Our pupils enjoyed listening to Pauline speak about how she became an author, and participated in a workshop activity on creative writing. They also had the opportunity to have copies of Pauline’s book personally dedicated to them.
