Health and Social Care Pupils Work With Local Community

The Home Economics Department hosted an event to celebrate “European Day of Solidarity Between Generations”. Health and Social Care pupils and eight older clients from MindWise worked together to make a delicious array of tasty treats before enjoying afternoon tea together. The activity enabled the participants to combine dishes from the past and present and facilitated discussion about how foods have changed over the years in terms of quality and nutrition. The activity was an excellent opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other in a mutually inclusive manner.
