Health and Social Care pupils visit Sure Start
15th Jan 2016
Year 14 Health and Social Care students made the short walk across the road to the Sure Start premises in Mount Crescent. Sure Start is a government led initiative aimed at giving every child four years and under the best possible start in life. It offers a broad range of services focusing on family health, early years care and education. The pupils listened to fantastic talk by the Early Years co-ordinator, Shelia Kirwan, followed by a question and answer session. Afterwards they had a tour of the facilities on offer. The pupils were really impressed by the range of services on offer to families with young children right on their doorstep.
