European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages was celebrated on the 26th September.
The Languages Department ran a number of activities over the week to engage and inspire the pupils.
Miss Commault led an assembly which highlighted the need for the acquisition of a second language in our changing work climate and six of our bi-lingual pupils addressed the school in their second language.
Year 8 pupils took part in a quiz using MEMRISE which introduced them to seven different languages! Well done to 8R who finished first with over one million points!
Year 9 enjoyed a typical French breakfast in the canteen, starting their day with a warm croissant and some hot-chocolate whilst listening to some French music.
The Year 10 took part in a European languages quiz and many classes enjoyed learning some popular French and Spanish songs.
