Dr Andrew Holmes from QUB visits to deliver lecture to Year 14 History Students

Upper 6th History students were given an insight into the political ambitions of 18th century Irish Presbyterians as part of their studies of the Volunteers and United Irishmen. Dr Andrew Holmes from Queen's University is one of the foremost experts in this period and author of a number of books and articles on Irish Presbyterianism. His enlightening lecture explained the political radicalism associated with many Presbyterians at the time of the American and French Revolutions.
