DNA Lecale Area Learning Community Teacher Workshop
30th Jun 2015
This event was held at Down High School on 9 June 2015.
The purpose of the workshop was to improve teacher confidence in the practical aspects of applied Biology. Discovery DNA from England delivered the workshop which was very successful. All participants from the 7 schools involved found it a very useful day and a great opportunity to share good practice.
The photograph shows Dr Napier carrying out gel electrophoresis, an integral part of the DNA fingerprinting process. Discover DNA also demonstrated the use of genetic jigsaws.
