Delightful Carol Services
Our annual carol services in Down Cathedral were held on Monday 19 December. Mr Martin's readers were prepared to a very high standard and the musicianship from the soloists, choristers and musicians was top class. Thanks go to Mr O'Flaherty for his wonderful accompaniments, Mr Harry Crosby our excellent organist, and Director of Music Miss Clarke for her inspirational conducting and overall organisation. The school would like to thank the Dean of Down Cathedral, Very Reverend Henry Hull, and his colleagues for facilitating and leading the services. The proceeds from the very generous collection will be given to the Cameron Foundation, in memory of former student Cameron Baxter who died tragically as a result of an accident last month, and to the Dementia Assessment Unit in the Downe Hospital.
