We’re really grateful to those in the local community who have generously come to our assistance over the last week following the extensive flooding at our school pitches. Thanks to the Montgomery Family at Point Farm and the crew at the Downpatrick Fire and Rescue Service who have helped with pumping water away. St Patrick’s Grammar, Ballynahinch Rugby Club and Malone Rugby Club have all very kindly provided use of their already-busy facilities, for our 1st XV Schools Cup preparations. We’re also grateful to the Education Authority for their support in putting a plan in place with local contractors to clear the remaining water. Work is ongoing and we look forward to the time when action can return.
