Aviation Meteorologist, Donald Ferguson Career Talk

Donald Ferguson, aviation meteorologist, Met Office trainer and STEM ambassador spoke to GCSE, AS and A Level Geography pupils about his varied and exciting career. He delivered an excellent presentation outlining his experiences at the Met Office and during his time, working as part of the British Antarctic Survey. He spoke about the many career opportunities linked to meteorology including those in the Met Office and as an air traffic controller. He answered many questions about his time in Antarctica and finished with a number of weather experiments. Pupils gained a wealth of information about careers in meteorology and even got some inside information about his predictions for the weather this summer!
