Ambassador Eco-School Award

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council hosted children and teachers from across the district in Warrenpoint Town Hall in recognition of their environmental work at the annual Eco-Schools Green Flag Awards. DHS was proud to become an Ambassador Eco-School. This award is in recognition of the inspirational Eco initiatives that the school has promoted as a flagship Eco-school. The award also recognises the exceptional levels of pupil leadership and whole school support which ensures sustainability is embedded in the school ethos. Thanks go to Mrs Wilson and the other staff and pupils that have been heavily involved with the Eco Committee. Year 14 pupils Ashia Erskine and Cherith Woods were delighted to collect the award on behalf of the school.
