Winner of the Rotary Youth Leadership Competition

10th Dec 2017

Year 13 pupil Tiernan Laird recently competed in the school finals of the Rotary Youth Leadership Competition. Tiernan was interviewed by the Comber Rotary Club and was named the club’s representative. This progressed him to the regional heats which were held at the Stormont Hotel. He took part in another detailed interview covering topics such as Brexit, environmental issues and inspirational leadership figures. Once again Tiernan triumphed and has been invited to be one of three successful candidates who will travel to Strasbourg in February to take part in a debate at Euroscola in the European Parliament. Tiernan will be representing Northern Ireland against representatives from other European countries. An impressive achievement and a rewarding experience for all representatives involved.
