Success In Swimming

Congratulations to Adam Colgan who competed in the Irish School Swimming Championships and swam to victory for the third year in a row.

Adam, a year 8  pupil qualified for the event last October when he successful won the Swim Ulster Schools event. The competition took place in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin on Wednesday 15th February and is a significant event in the swimming calendar.

Adam stormed his way to first place in the 100M Individual Medley, a race which required him to swim equal distances of four different strokes, achieving a personal best of 1:14.62. He also secured 3rd place in the back stroke. Adam is ‘over the moon’ as his success at this competition has resulted in him being seeded third in Ireland for the 100M Individual Medley and 5th in the back stroke. An impressive achievement and a bright future ahead of him.
