Current Affairs Society 2019-20: Abortion Reform

10th Oct 2019

The Current Affairs Society got off to an incredible start this afternoon, with a huge crowd attending a discussion on the complex and contentious issue of abortion reform in Northern Ireland. Dawn McAvoy from Both Lives Matter and Naomi Conner from Alliance for Choice responded to a range of outstanding questions from students in Years 11-14. We were also delighted to welcome students from our Shared Education partners, St Patrick's Grammar School, to the conversation. The level of questioning was excellent and the students were dignified and respectful at all times, as befitting the importance of this issue in the public discourse.
