Air Ambulance Fundraiser

5th Dec 2019

Down High School were delighted to have been able to raise £900.00 for the NI Air Ambulance Service from the proceeds of a non-uniform day earlier this term. One of our pupils, Ellie McDonnell used the charity after a serious accident in July 2019. The NI Air Ambulance service is an invaluable resource which deals with traumatic accidents across NI and has been utilised over 1,100 times since its first flight on the 22nd July 2017. It costs £2 million per year to run the service and it couldn’t fly without public donations. We were delighted to hand over the cheque to Colleen Milligan, Area Fundraising Manager.
